THE CARBINER

New Look Committee

The Carbine Club Tasmania has a new look Committee for 2020-2021 following the Annual General Meeting held at the Athenaeum Club in Hobart on Wednesday September 30, 2020.

For the first time in the club's proud 38 year history, the Carbine Club Tasmania has a female Committee member. Wendy Kennedy (who was also the first female to be inducted into the club) has joined the existing Committee members to help set the course for another 12 months.

Steve Adermann was elected President for his third consecutive year, with Ross Burridge again backing up as Secretary and Paul Fallon continuing in his role as Treasurer. The Committee also includes Mike Davey, Paul Jubb, Josh Tegg and Wendy Kennedy.

The Annual General Meeting was followed by a 'Members Only' dinner featuring Tasmanian & Australian Cricketing legend James Faulkner who was interviewed by Carbine Club member & Cricket Tasmania CEO Dom Baker.

It was a special night for one of only three remaining founding members of the club Brian Higgins, who was inducted as a Life Member of the Carbine Club Tasmania. President Steve Adermann presented Brian with his Life Member badge and framed certificate.

Carbine Club member Phil Collidge gave all guests a pleasant surprise when he provided a taste of 'The Scoundrel' Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky produced by Remnant, a distillery in which he has an investment.
